11/24/2023 0 Comments Buy pro tools perpetualNow I would like to express some thought about Pro Tools: A good example of a company who is doing so is Plugin Alliance. What I wished is that they would give the possibility for anyone to choose for a subscription model or own the software perpetually so everyone will be happy for that part. It probably looks nothing serious for those who think that a subscription model is excellent but after some time, that anxiety can cause troubles to mental health just because you simply never own the software in the end with a subscription model. Especially when they do not always get the opportunity to work on a project yet they have to have the software to own their skills so they can be ready when an opportunity is coming their way - It is really tough. I am pretty sure that it is making them anxious to just think that they have to be able to get a certain amount of money on the table to be able to keep using a software they want to put their life and passion into. Students, hobbyist starting out, freelancers are suffering. You might say that your boss/company will pay it for you which means you will not care about it: Lucky you then.īut think about those people who do not have a stable income or very low income due to their economical & financial issues, poor countries (not so much opportunities): To illustrate you why, if you would have to get yourself a suit to go to work would you prefer to pay a shop per month to be able to wear it or buy it once and own it until the end of your life? Subscription models are simply terrible for DAWs, Plugins, VSTs. Why people don't just get onboard with the subscription? Then I'm thinking of Studio 1 in the future. I'm only waiting them to get all the bugs out for the new Mac conversions before I stop renewing. If you are new to DAWs then I don't recommend Pro Tools. I don't believe in subscription for a platform that is supposed to be the foundation of the work flow. Click, they turn your shit off like a light switch. However if you don't pay your annual or monthly payment on time or by the grace period allotted. (Plugin Bundles, 3rd party software, etc). Included will be everything Pro Tools has to offer for standard or HD version. With the subscription, it's 200 per year. Here is the cool part, if you decide not to renew you can "still" use the software to do what you love. If you let it expire it will cost more to re-instate ($350 I think). Once the plan expires you have a 30 day grace period to renew the Perpetual License Update/Support plan ($200). If you have a Perpetual License you get 1 year of updates and supports upon purchase (As previously stated in this thread). r/MixClub /r/ListenToThis /r/Music /r/RadioReddit /r/LearnMusic /r/Reasoners /r/AudioPost /r/GameAudio /r/RateMyAudio /r/StudioPorn /r/SFXLibraries Pro Tools Operating System Compatibility ChartĬomputer Optimization and Troubleshooting Guides - Mac and Windows Pro Tools product line feature set comparison As the site guidelines and their notices tell you, be sure to read the sub rules before participating Feature/Sticky Post Schedule DayĬontent Creation Station - for Evals and Self-Promotion Whether it is yours or theirs, there are no allowable exceptions or appealable circumstances.
